The declared aim of this activity is to thank the volunteers for their efforts and increase public awareness on their contribution to society. The day is celebrated in majority countries of the world.
The International Volunteer Day is marked by many non-governmental organizations, including Red Cross, scouts and others. It is also marked and supported by United Nations Volunteers.

Hi Martin! Thanks for this info, plus the nice picture of yourself as a volunteer :-) I have a question to you: Do you see any link between our seminar and its motto "Celebrate the Difference!", and voluntary work?
ReplyDeleteBy volunteering we can implement follow up projects that we planned. Also all Youth in Action program is supported by people who do volunteer work.The best way to celebrate difference is by working in the cause all together and without material profit.
