Simulation exercise: 'Welcome to my village'

Panic, panic, panic!!!

One word repeated three times explains the way we felt when we were playing the game called “My village”. Confused and worried faces were the most common thing you could see during the entire workshop. Before I continue writing, I think I should briefly explain what the entire thing was about. Couple of villagers were supposed to build their own village, based on instructions given before. And as the time was passing by all the villagers started building their villages. The extremely funny and interesting thing was the fact that they were not allowed to talk to each other. And then began the stress! Wrinkly faces, helpless people trying to exchange a few words, panic all over the place, hoping that everything will be just fine!

Ivana, Josefine and Iba trying to communicate without words..

Ivana was definitely one of the most worried ones! :D
The villagers after various ways of communication and mimics built their home places. And then, surprisingly enough, the government decided that some of them should move from the community and move in another village, taking their belongings with them. Imagine how the hard-working villagers felt, when they found out that after the entire effort and labor, they are supposed to leave their beloved dwellings. Very, very unfair! And for the whole story to become even rougher, they didn't even know if their property taken with them would even fit in the new village. But it seems it wasn't that bad after all! The villagers successfully adapted in the new surroundings, didn't find any specific difficulties regarding their moving, and lived happily ever after! And why was that? Because the natives and the newcomers both tried really hard to accept each other, making the village a nice place to live. They were different, they were diverse, but that wasn't even a reason for mutual non-understatement.

One of the participants had some serious concerns about his moving :))). Here is what Sen told us:

"When the game started and everybody tried to decide what they should build, I came up with an idea of making a (clay) boat as a house. After I made a short stream and a few patches of water I realized that it would be unlikely that other villages would have water surfaces. Fortunately one other person was forced to move and I was able to continue building my water dwelling, adding a lighthouse, a volcano, some rocks and a whale."
